WordPress for beginners course

I have been doing something a little unusual lately, I have been running my first training course. It’s a course in how to set up a WordPress website for beginners and has been a small but very enjoyable challenge! This is something I had never thought of doing and it was at a recent Jelly (co-working) event someone asked me to run one.

That was a few months back now and I have just completed my first WordPress course at The Lakes College in Workington. Albeit a few technical hitches, which I think is expected on your first ever course (and the fact it’s an IT course,) it went really well and I have the next one planned for October, details to be confirmed!

The course was run solely for women starting in business and I loved the fact I could help women to be empowered to build their own simple WordPress website. It was also really interesting, as always in my line of work, to find out what sort of exciting projects other people are embarking on. Cumbria is definitely growing in terms of exciting projects going on!

In the future I am hoping to run basic design courses to help online entrepreneurs and would like to sell both my courses online. If this is the sort of thing that would interest you then I’d love to hear from you so I can tailor the courses to what people want.

If you live in Cumbria and would like to find out more about my WordPress courses which are currently run through Cumbria Growth Hub then please view their website at www.cumbriagrowthhub.co.uk. The next one will be running in Kendal during October.
